A Balanced Diet
Q1. What type of protective food you eat?
A. The protective food that we eat are the food rich in vitamins like tomato, papaya, orange, carrot, lemon, fish, etc and the food rich in minerals like juicy frits, milk, eggs, green leafy vegetables.
Q2.What type of body building food you like to eat?
A. The body building food that we eat is the foods rich in proteins like fish, pulses, meat, egg, milk etc.
Q3.What type of junk food do you eat?
A. Some times we eat junk food like noodle, cold drink, patties, fried chips etc.
Q4.Will you eat junk food daily, after reading the lesson?
A. After reading the lesson, I learnt not to eat junk food daily.
Q5.What is the substance found in different kinds of food?
A. The substances (nutrients) that are found in different kinds of food are:
a. Carbohydrates
b. Proteins
c. Vitamins
d. Minerals
e. Fats
Q6.What sort of food is the main source of energy?
A. Food-items containing carbohydrates and fats are the main source of energy.
Q7.What is the function of protein in our body?
A. Proteins help our body to grow and to repair the damaged tissues.
Q8.Explain the role of vitamins and minerals in our body.
A. Vitamins and minerals protect our body from various diseases and help us to remain healthy.
Q9.Why do we need a balanced diet?
A. We need a balanced diet to posses enough energy and nutrition for optimal growth and development and to maintain our healthy body free of diseases.
