Eligibility:
- A candidate who has secured 80 percent or more marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in class XII from CBSE board or equivalent is eligible for appearing in the entrance test. (Those who have appeared in a Board whose results are not out by the last date of filling the form can apply if their AIEEE rank is less than or equal to 10000, provided they show their mark sheet of Class XII at the time of admission and must have obtained 80% in PCM).
- Note: No candidate without proof of 80% in PCM will be entertained for admission even if he/she qualifies the admission test.
- Relaxation in eligibility conditions Marks for Reserved Categories Candidate belonging to the following categories, who apply for seats reserved for them, shall be allowed a concession in the minimum eligibility requirement as detailed below:
- Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). A relaxation of 10 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements for the seats reserved for them.
- Children or Widows of Defence Personnel Killed/Disabled in Action (CW). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
- Physically Handicapped (PH). A relaxation of 5 percent marks in the minimum eligibility requirements.
- Tuition Fee Structure
Tuition Fees Rs 75000/- per year (for 2 semesters)
Hostel Fees Including Mess Appx. Rs14100/- (as per NSIT Hostel Fees and changeable as per NSIT Rule
(The tuition fee is likely to increase to Rs 100000 per year from 2010).
- Scholarships - Top 10% of the students including one girl will be eligible for scholarship (equal to 50% of Tuition Fess) for the first year. Scholarships in subsequent years will be based on performance in the previous years.
How TO Apply:
- Candidates seeking admission to IIIT-D will have to appear in the entrance test. Admission decision will be solely based on the merit in the entrance test, and all the seats will be filled through this test (that is, there is no "management quota"). The eligibility criterion on who can appear in the test is given below. Only students who satisfy the eligibility criteria are allowed to take the test and will be required to bring a attested copy of their mark sheet at the entrance test.
- Application Procedure - Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for the entrance test, can apply online (this is the only way to apply). They will have to print out their form, paste a recent passport size photograph, and send it with a draft for Rs 500 payable to "IIIT Delhi" as examination fee to at he following address (through speed post only). As the application form requires the bank draft no, a candidate must have the draft ready before filling the application form online.

- Each candidate must keep a copy of this form, which is needed for appearing in the exam. The candidates who are selected through the entrance test will have to show, at the time of admission, original documents like mark sheet for class XII, proof of residency, etc. Anyonefound not satisfying the requirements or found having misrepresented the facts will be liable for cancellation of his/her candidature.

- IIIT (Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology) Delhi is an autonomous institute created by Government of NCT of Delhi through an Act 2007 "The IIIT-Delhi Act, 2007" and (Delhi Act 5 of 2008), which empowers it to offer degree programs at all levels. The mission of IIIT is to be a global centre of excellence in Information Technology education, training and research. Its twin aims are:
- To train and educate, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, engineers of outstanding ability who can become innovators and new technology and product creators in the country.
- To carry out advanced research and development in information and software technologies, and in better leveraging IT in specific domain areas.
