Time Management and its effectiveness

What is Time Management?

When your life is out of balance, and you feel that you don't have enough time to do what you want, or even what you must, then time management techniques will help you straighten these problems out.Time management is not something that you are born with; it's a learned skill set that has been developed to deal with a demanding world. The advantage of learning how to manage your time, is that all areas of your life will be enhanced. The main aim of time management is to maintain a better balance of work/study, home and leisure activities by getting more done in the hours available to you.

Aspects of Time Management

In modern physics, time has been shown to be a relative phenomenon. This means your experience of time changes with your circumstances. One has to learn to adjust his/her pace so as to fit the circumstances. It is important to be more productive by consuming less time.Managing time not only concerns effectively using what you have, but also involves finding time you didn't know you had. When you do anything over a long period, you become blind to much of what goes on. There are methods, however, for finding extra time that has become hidden in your routine.Another important component of time management is planning ahead. Being prepared for any contingency will save you time in the long run.

Time is Relative

Personal development outside of work/study is also bolstered by time management. Improving your listening skills and meeting new people with different points of view contribute to your growth, as does giving yourself time to be alone and doing things in a more measured manner. Give yourself the space to vary the pace and order in which you do things. Manage your time so that you can be more flexible and creative.
