Admission Notice - 2010 Punjabi University
PU Admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

Admission is open only to the in-service teachers working in Govt./Semi-Govt./recognised/affiliated schools and other Govt. Agencies which are approved by the N.C.T.E. and are situated in Punjab or the Union Territory, Chandigarh, having a minimum of two years regular teaching experience upto submission of Entrance Test Form.
The candidate must have passed :
(a) B.A. (Full subjects)/B.Sc./B.Com./or its equivalent examination with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./ S.T./ B.C. candidates (excluding economically backward classes). OR
(b) M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.Sc. (Hons. School) with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates (excluding economically backward classes). OR
(c) Diploma in Rural Service (3 years course) from National Council for Rural Higher Education, Ministry of Education with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates (excluding economically backward classes).
(d) B.A. Degree of a recognised University through M.I.L. capacity with
two elective subjects and English and having secured at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of S.C./S.T./B.C. candidates (excluding economically backward classes).
The prospectus can be obtained from the Enquiry & information
Centre, Main Gate, Punjabi University, Patiala on Payment of Rs.1100/- for General Category Candidates and for SC/ ST/ Handicapped Candidates Rs.1000/- at the counter OR by registered post from the Department of Distance Education by sending a crossed Demand Draft as '*& Co." for Rs. 1160/- for General Category Candidates and Rs.1060/- for SC/ ST/ Handicapped Candidates, in favour of Head, Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala alongwith self- addressed envelope (12"x10" size) with "Request for B.Ed. Entrance Test Form" written at the top.

Reach the Co-ordinator, B.Ed. Entrance Test Cell, Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala (by registered post or by courier or by hand)
The Entrance Test Form can be downloaded from the Departmental Website www.dccpbi.com , In this case, crossed Demand Draft of Rs.1100/— for General Category candidates and of Rs.1000/- for SC / ST/ Handicapped candidates drawn in favour of Head, Department of Distance Education, Punjabi University, Patiala should be attached with the form downloaded from the website.

without late fee on or before 07.06.2010 by 4:00 ,p.m.,
with late fee of Rs.500/- on or before 14.06.2010,
with late fee of Rs. 1000/- on or before 18.06.2010,
with late fee of Rs.2000/- on or before 23.06.2010 and
with late fee of Rs.4000/- on or before 30.06.2010 by 4:00 p.m.
