THE OBJECTIVE
Advancements in science and technology have allowed for the broadened horizons entering into miniaturization of amazingly complex devices. The days are near where innovative devices would come to market which could serve in day-to-day lives yet to be small that the society never ever had known. Nanotechnology is the study, design, creation, synthesis, manipulation and application of functional materials, devices and systems through control of matter at the nanometer scale, i.e., at the atomic and molecular levels and the exploitation of novel phenomena and properties of matter at that scale.
The objective of this conference is to provide a forum of interaction and sharing of experience between academicians and researchers who could bring forth the dreams through.
Also this could provide a fresh opportunity to the faculty in various academic institutions to get a purview to commence a fresh attempt of research in a new field like nanotechnology.
The conference aims to address the following topics.

THE VENUE
Karunya University, formerly Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences was established in 1986 by the founders Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran and Dr. Paul Dhinakaran. Making rapid progress ever since, the institute has now grown into a full fledged university winning recognitions and awards on its way: Best Engineering College in Tamilnadu (1996), first autonomous self-financing Engg. college(2000), Deemed University(2004) and University (13 September 2006). The Institution has excellent academic, research, and extra-curricular facilities effectively utilized by a well-qualified and dedicated faculty body of 350 and over 5300 students. UG, PG, and PhD programmes are offered in the fields of Engineering, Technology, Sciences and Management. The University has been awarded with ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
The excellent facilities on the 700-acre campus include a fully air-conditioned library that stocks 59000 books and subscribes to 275 hard copy journals besides thousands of electronic journals. There is a fiber-optic LAN serving around 2200 computers on campus and 6-Mbps internet connectivity.

CALL FOR PAPERS
Authors willing to submit their original research work can send the abstract on A4 size paper (font Times New Roman 12) not exceeding one page with a soft copy written on a CD. Submission of abstracts by e-mail will be preferred.
SUBMISSION
The length of the submissions is restricted to 8 pages (including figures and tables). The first page of your submission should include the paper title; author name(s) and affiliation, address, email; keywords; and abstract. Format for both abstract and paper: MS Word, 12 font size, Times New Roman, 1.5 spacing. Authors are encouraged to send their papers to lalin99@karunya.edu
