My college is National Institute of Technology Calicut(NITC). When I got a good rank in AIEEE, I decided to join in NITC which is very close to my home.
The first day was a thrilling one. I went to there with one of my friend and fortunately he became my room mate. It was in the last year.I saw so many new faces there. To be honest, I didn't see any such a face which was sad. Everybody were enjoying the first day there.Me and my friend came outside the hostel for a short walk. He was wearing a shirt which is having so many circles printed on that.There were many students from outside my state Kerala too. They are bidding bye to their parents. We are fascinated by the construction and plantations in the college and thought ourselves that we are the luckiest. When we reach at the entrance of college, we saw some students standing few meters in front of us. I thought it won't be safe to move further. At the moment we stepped back, there was a command calling us. As we feared, it was our seniors. Both of us were frightened and we slowly moved towards them. One of them asked if we had any problem with our foot. We didn't say anything and moved fast to them.
There were five of them. They were looking us in such a way that they are going to kill us.But I saw one smiling face.And he was trying hard to hide it. Seeing that I started to laugh. But it made others rude. Two of them called me and other three called my friend. He asked my name and the place were I live. Then they asked about my branch. My answer was EC. They told there is no such a branch in NITC. I felt frightened more than anything. What would do next? I started crying. This made the seniors frighten. They told me to stop crying. But I cried loudly. I looked at my friend. He was counting the number of circles on his shirt.Seeing me crying, they told me to go. Then my friend too came with me. I asked what to do next? He asked what is the problem. Then I told him the whole story. After hearing the story, he told there was nothing to do. They simply asked to tell the expanded form, ie ELECTRONICS AND ENGINEERING. I didn't know what to do next. I couldn't talk for a while.

new life was getting born.

Hi,
I am Champak Meher doing MBBS at SCB MEDICAL COLLEGE which is situated at Cuttack, Orissa.
I was joined in my great college in year 2006 with anxious to gain knowledge about medical science. That day was 30 august 2006. When i entered class room it was so late and our anatomy HOD taking his class. I was totally nervous at that time. I said that may i come in sir and he replied with his innocent voice please come in. One great thing happened is that all boys are sitting on left side and girls on right and some boys were sitting back to girls benches and there was a sit vacant on first row of girls bench and i was sitting there. By this all boys are murmuring for that as i am sitting side of a girl. In that class i totally shamed for that. Then our class was ended and we went for practical room where 8 dead bodies were on the table and you cant smell that unacceptable send. It was terrific horrible for me and all my classmate. It was just am introduction day. Them we went for our lunch to the mess in hostel. At first we were not staying in hostel so we feared to go to the hostel. At there we were facing many senior and it was terrific day. Some recent senior means who were in 2nd year they helps up to how to behave others and how to wish them when seeing them. It was great to know that wish was done by bending 90 degree and one hand at back and other one at front. After taking our lunch we went for our rooms. This is my first day in medical college. Wow its great feeling after returning to room but after returning to room i knew that there was a introduction class for our welcome catch that is 5th year at that time. It was to be held at 5pm. At that time it was unbeliveabl thing happened. This was my first day which is unforgettable.

First day of my college life was awesome.frist day I went to in my college canteen.Senior students was looking us and they was ready for our ranging.

first day in my college life - It was very interesting & awesome.I joined in first year of B.Tech. in year 1998 with a lot of anxiety.In first year i lived at my uncle's house for some time but after my friend's suggestion i came in Hostel.
In hostel I faced many seniors and ragging. it was a new & thrilling experience for me e.g. wishing the seniors by bending and putting one hand at back and other one at front, giving roses to senior girl,saying I Love You to girls etc. This was my first day at my college in graduation that is memorable.
