Younger generation of today don't celebrate traditional festivals like Diwali with the same spirit as they you used to do before when they were children.
In this world of hi-technology, teenagers and young adults are very much interested in knowing new things and experiment them. In the process, they don't give much important to the festivals they use to celebrate with interest a lot when they were children because they are bored with the mundane way of celebrating it. They take part very happily in Valentines day celebrations and exchange expensive gifts. Slowly, the spirit and custom which our forefathers had inculcated in us is fading away.
Further, some young people are moving abroad with their children and settle down there. Some Indians still teach the children the value of following customs and tradition because it is these unique acts make us stand apart from the people of other countries.
Do you still feel that after twenty years or so people will still value festivals like Diwali with great respect and celebrate it in a similar manner. How create interest among the youngsters to value our customs and safeguard it.
