Your article indeed is useful and informative.I live in Bangalore just 12 Km away from the city railway station and around twenty five km away from the international airport. The honking and traffic on the busy road gets on anybody's nerves. People have the habit of honking without any rhyme and reason even when they are totally aware the vehicle ahead of them is unable to mover because of valid reasons.
Second, it has become fashion for young adults to honk loudly and circle the not so busy areas several times. Sometimes, I feel like advising them not to do so. What if some newborn babies may be sleeping at that time in some of the house or there may be a patient who requires peace. These youngsters don't understand the seriousness.
Lastly, I live a posh area where there are some vacant sites. Some colossal construction is going on right opposite to my house. The workers keep on loading and unloading material at odd hours of the day and night. They turn a deaf year to our polite requests knowing very well that if they continue to do so, we may turn deaf individuals.
People have a general notion that living in a hi-tech city like Bangalore has several advantages but noise pollution and sound pollution are two major disturbing factors.
