Admission Announcement-2008:
4 Year B.Tech / 5 Year Dual Degree M.Tech Programme in Petroleum Engineering
Applications are invited for admission to the Second Batch of 4 Year B.Tech / 5 Year Dual Degree M.Tech Programme commencing in July 2008.
Eligibility and Admission Criteria for Applicants
(1) Should have passed 10 + 2 years of schooling with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry by June 2008.
(2) Should appear in the AIEEE 2008 examination to be conducted by CBSE on 27th April, 2008.
(3) Should submit Application form along with photocopy of Admit card of AIEEE 2008 to IPTG.
(4) The eligible candidates will be called for counselling at IPTG and will be offered admission in order of their merit based on the All India Rank of AIEEE 2008.

Selection Process:
Admissions to the 2008 Batch of 4 Year B.Tech / 5 Year Dual Degree M.Tech Programme will be based on the All India Merit Rank in AIEEE 2008 (All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2008), which is going to be conducted by CBSE on 27th April 2008. Therefore, only those candidates who are appearing in AIEEE 2008 shall apply for this programme.
The short-listed candidates, based on the All India Ranking of AIEEE 2008, will be called for counselling at IPTG Campus, Gandhinagar and will be offered admission in order of their merit (based on the AIEEE 2008 ranking).
Number of Seats:
The Institute offers 4 Year B.Tech / 5 Year Dual Degree M.Tech Programme in Petroleum Engineering; the total intake will be 240 for the academic year 2008. Reservation will be applicable as per Government Norms.
Submission of Application Form
A candidate has to apply in the prescribed IPTG Application Form. The application form will be available on the payment of Rs.900/- from selected branches of Axis Bank. For details of the branches of Axis Bank where the Application forms would be available, please refer to our website www.iptg.ac.in.
Alternatively, it can also be obtained by sending a demand draft of Rs. 900/- drawn in favour of “Institute of Petroleum Technology, Gandhinagar” and payable at Gandhinagar, to the address given at the end. Candidates must write their name and complete mailing address with Land Line number, Mobile number & Email id, at the back of the demand draft. IPTG will not be responsible for any loss or postal delay.
A photocopy of the AIEEE 2008 Admit Card is also required to be attached with the duly completed IPTG Application Form and sent to the Institute in the envelope provided for the purpose.
The last date for receiving the completed Application Form at IPTG is 7th May, 2008. Applications received after the last date shall not be accepted.
