Amidst the hilly terrain is situated a temple devoted to Goddess Kali which is said to have been built by the erstwhile rulers about more than a century back though it has been renovated and several additions to the main temple have been made.

Legend has it that a bangle seller was passing by the jungle when he saw a beautiful girl sitting on the rocks and asked him for bangles. When he asked for money he was directed to go and ask for it to the king of the area. The king too had a dream in which mother Kali asked her to pay the bangle seller. On knowing the fact the king requested the Goddess to once appear before him.Goddess Kali is said to have raised her hands from inside the river and shown the bangle filled arms.

The king then built a temple around the rock on which the girl sat and scores of people throng the temple everyday seeking the blessings of the Goddess.
