Peepli Live is based on farmers' suicides and subsequent media and political response. The movie is about the existing urban and rural division in India and inflation. One of the songs of this movie is Mahangai Dayan which takes a dig at the Government over inflation. Some opposition leaders approached Aamir Khanto buy the rights of the song. Their intension was to use this song against the ruling party.
Aamir Khan made it clear that no political party can use this song politically. According to Aamir Mahangai Dayan is a song of the film and it can not be used in any political campaign.

No matter what people say about our movie industry this industry is the first to signal both and the government of of the day as to what khichadi is brewing in the country and the mind of its people at the moment.Why not someone asks the the government why does it every year indulge in imposing taxes knowing well that it will cause inflation and miseries to the most poor people?.Remember,the practice of applying the same method of tax imposing is coming from time immemorial?Why the govt. cannot think with the think tanks employed by it threby burdening the public exchequer of some other sources to lighten its budgetary demands other than the raising of the fuel surcharges and the kerosin?

Thanks Ashish kumar for your response. Protest against government for it's wrong policy must come from every corner of society. Opposition party raise voice for their own interest. Elite group of the society has a role to play here but unfortunately no such move is seen so far.
Aamir Khan is one of the celluloid personalities who are making movies with some social values.
