Business Process Outsourcing: This group seeks to pursue opportunities in Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), the primary focus of which would be to ensure that ICICI Bank leverages the skills that it has built in these areas. It also helps the Bank to benchmark the quality of services it offers to its own customers against global standards. This has been set as a separate company called ICICI OneSource
International Banking Group (IBG) As global banks expand their presence in India and target local customers it becomes important for ICICI Bank to offer a complete value proposition to its customer base that is globally competitive. ICICI Bank believes that international markets present a major growth opportunity. The IBG strategy is based on leveraging home-country links for international expansion and establishing a strong presence in international markets. The critical strengths, which can be leveraged to add value, include strong relationships with domestic corporates, preferential access to local currency markets, strong domestic distribution network and cultural ties with the home country.
IBG has the following business teams:
a. Country Teams
Based on a detailed analysis of business potential in various geographies, ICICI Bank has identified US, Canada, UK, Singapore, Gulf-Cooperation Countries (GCC) and China as key target markets in the first phase of expansion for retail and corporate banking.
b. NRI Services
This group focuses on increasing the NRI Business for ICICI Bank through new product developments & innovation, customer acquisition strategy, marketing and promotions and ensuring world-class service delivery standards
c. International - Financial Institutions Group
The correspondent-banking group of ICICI Bank has been structured as a profit center and renamed International Financial Institutions Group (IFIG). This team is responsible for managing all banking relationships with International Banks for all products, including Vostro & Nostro accounts, correspondent banking, trade finance and global syndication of deals.
