As my company has business interests in the Ukraine, I have the possibility to spend some time in Kiev. It is the capital of the Ukraine and it is very beautiful ancient city.
Kiev is situated on the picturesque banks of the river Dnepr. It is the city where the antiquity lives in harmony with contemporaneity. But the old one is my beloved part of Kiev.

One of the most extraordinary places of the old part of Kiev is Andreevski Spusk. It is the street which some patriots of Kiev named Ukrainian Montmartre. It is a very beautiful place with the unique atmosphere of artistic circles. Many artists and sculptors from all Ukraine show the works in this street. You can find here all styles of modern traditional arts and products of national creativity. Some of them are absolutely unique. Many sellers understand English language that allows bargaining at purchases of the goods.

The Street Museum, one of the popular museums in Kiev with a considerable exposition is also situated on this street. There are many cafes and restaurants with the perfect dishes here.

The best way to reach Andreevski Spusk is to use the taxi. The taxi in the Ukraine is cheaper than in most European capitals. But you can save some money and use underground, but in that case you will have some additional ride on a trolley bus.

The best time to visit this place is spring or summer. You can find here a lot of trees and flowers also.
