Its really important that we could give a nice introduction to someone. This is very important since the audience would be listening to the speaker. The introduction would give the audience an impression of the speaker and would somehow raise their interest. So the best would be is to learn and study his backgrounds and other relevant information.

Article is very good. Introduction of a speaker is very essential. First of all people should know why that person was called for giving the speach. There may be some speciality in him, for which he was invited to give the speach. When the audience know about the speaker, they can understand what he wants to say.
