The worst affected areas are Russia, Canada and Germany. The forest fires will generate huge amounts of Carbon Dioxide and Carbon Monoxide resulting into huge environmental problems. It will surely increase global warming as well.

Forest Fires in Russia

Official statistics about fire affected regions in Russia
Number of fires since January 2010: 26,400
Total area affected in Russia:
7 lakh 55 thousand hectares(forest land)

1 hectare is equal to 10,000 square metres. Thus, a forest area of approximately 100 crore square metres got burned within a span of 10 to 15 days.
The smoke generated by this massive fire will result into producing approximately 330 crore tonnes of Carbon Monoxide and Carbon Dioxide. This is huge number and the forest fires continue to devastate more and more forests in Russia.

Forest Fires in Canada

Official statistics about fire affected regions in Canada
Number of fires since January 2010: 102
