Check out this website http://www.questpond.com/. This has a good set of sample questions that are targetted for fresh and new beginners in IT. I observe that the website download is just a questions but the answers need to be purchased. But I would say the latter is not mandatory.

For a curious beginner developer, one can try downloading the questions and work out for himself dedicating a few hours of day by referring websites like MSDN (http://msdn.microsoft.com/) or Namespace (http://www.dotnetspider.com/namespace/) which would be more fruitful than total spoon-feeding.

At least from a birds-eye view, I see the following question category types available from QP:

1) Project Management
2) Networking
3) .NET and C#
4) ASP.NET
5) SQL
6) Java
7) Testing
8) Software Estimation

I am not discouraging you from purchasing the book. I would actually recommend the following division:

Developer: Download the questions and work out yourself
Training Institutions/Corporates/Placement Consultants: Get the book for your library for your panelist. But ensure that beginners don't try to see the key. Let them work on their own and build their knowledge.
