Terms and conditions applicable for admissions to M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.A.M.S. (Ayurveda) Courses - 2008
The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Health Care Campus is located at Kochi in the central part of Kerala State in the southwest region of India. Kochi is well connected by road, rail, air and sea. The Cochin International Airport is only 25 kms. away from the Institution. MBBS & BDS courses are conducted in Kochi Campus, While BAMS course in in Kollam Campus Sl. Eligibility a. Date of Birth: a.1. MBBS & BDS Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or before 31st December 1991, i.e. at least 17 years of age as on 31st December 2008, but have not crossed the age of 25 years as on that date, are eligible to apply. Date of birth as recorded in the 10th standard / school leaving certificate will be taken as authentic. a.2. Maximum age limit does not apply for BAMS b. Qualifications: The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination, or its equivalent in ONE attempt, (except for BAMS-Ayurveda) (exemptions may be considered only on medical grounds and the decision of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine will be final and binding). The last two years of such study should include Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Students studying in foreign countries following a syllabus other than any Indian syllabus should produce an Equivalence Certificate from The Association of Indian Universities, A.I.U. AMRIT A ENTRANCE EXAMINATI ON (Medical) 2008 All candidates including Management / NRIs / PIOs should appear for the Entrance Test conducted by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission. 4. Ver ifica tion of documen ts All admissions are subject to verification of the original certificates and documents produced by the candidates. The decision of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham regarding the eligibility of any applicant shall be final. a. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC will be offered some seats as per UGC norms. Some seats will be filled against management quota as permissible. 5. Ran k List Rank list will be prepared on the basis of Amrita Entrance Test, conducted by the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the choice of course furnished by the candidate in terms of clause 13(k) of this prospectus
