Associate Fellow of Industrial Health Course (AFIH Course) is a 3 month full time program, will provide intensive training for medical professionals to acquire skills for occupational health practice. AFIH Program at Sri Ramachandra University is Recognized by The Directorate General Factory Advice Service & Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour, Government of India. Successful candidates will be awarded a Post Graduate certificate by DGFASLI entitled "ASSOCIATE FELLOW OF INDUSTRIAL HEALTH" which will fulfill the requirements in terms of additional qualification of Factory Medical Officers.

Eligibility for Admission to the AFIH Course at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai

1. MBBS Degree from an Institution recognized by the Medical Council of India.
2. Completion of Internship.
3. Permanent Registration with the Medical Council of India/State Medical Council.
4. Minimum one year experience as a full time Medical Officer in Occupational Health related work in an industry or 2 years in general practice after the date of completion of internship.

Fee Structure for AFIH Course at Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai :
Rs. 36,000/- including ACLS training (for candidates already possessing ACLS certification Rs.30,000/-) payable by Demand Draft in favour of "Sri Ramachandra University".

Application form can be downloaded from the website http://www.srmc-ehe.org.in. Duly filled in application along with a demand draft for Rs.700/- towards Registration Fee drawn on any nationalized bank should be in favour of "Sri Ramachandra University" and attested photo copies of certificates should reach the below address, by Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due only on or before 15th November 2010. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed "APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION IN TO AFIH".
