Monday
O Lord God, before we got out on the
duties and the tasks of this day, we
ask you to direct, to control, and to
guide us all through its hours.
Be in our eyes,
Be in our hands,
Be in our minds,
Be in our hearts,
Help us to begin, to continue, and to
End this day in You.
Tuesday
O God, this morning I have come into
the quietness and stillness of your
presence to begin the day, so that out
of this moment I may take with me
a quiet serenity which will last me
through the rough and tumble of this day's life.
I have come to find wisdom,
I have come to find peace,
I have come to find love,
I have come to begin the day with You,
to continue it with You, and to end it
with You, so that it will be a day which
will have in it nothing to regret.
Wednesday
O God, source of wisdom
I thank you that I am a student.
Enlighten my mind
And strengthen my will
During these years of my study.
Assist me in performing my duties.
May I never neglect my studies.
Help me persevere in my endeavor
Till I reach my goal.
Help me live in your presence
And behave honorably,
Choosing to do what is right
And pleasing in Your sight.
May I always respect my parents,
Teachers, elders and be loving
And kind to weak and needy.
Bless me and all who take special interest
In my growth
Thank you for Your love and care.
Thursday
O God our father, we give humble thanks unto Thee
For all those good things of life that
we so often take for granted.
We praise Thee for life itself,
with all its joys and adventures,
its experience and opportunities.
We bless Thee for our homes,
our parents, our brothers and sisters.
We thank Thee for our school, for work honestly done,
for games well played and for
all the lessons we have learnt.
Help us to show our gratitude for these and all
Thy gifts, by using them for the good of others and
For Thy glory.
Friday
O God, help me at my examination today to remember
the things which I have learned and studied.
Help me to remember well and to think clearly.
Help me not to be nervous and excited
that I will not do myself justice,
and keep me calm and clear - headed
Help me to try my hardest and to do my best.
This I ask for your love's sake.
