Profile
NTTF - an educational Foundation established in the year
1963 is the living symbol of Indo-Swiss co-operation aimed
at promoting a purposeful technical education for the
youth in India. In its mission, the Foundation was actively
supported with generous assistance from the Swiss
Government, HEKS and Swiss Development Corporation,
a developmental agency of Switzerland. The Government
of India and the State Governments have also extended
their support. The Foundation implements its programme

What are the eligibility criteria for admission to different courses?
The criteria are clearly mentioned below under 1.0,1.1 & 1.2 Check these criteria before you apply. Please note that, minimum marks
specified for eligibility refers for single qualifying examination in 10th Std. or 12th Std. in one or more sitting.
-Age to be reckoned as on 31-07-2008
- Age relaxation up to 2 years is permitted for the physically challenged, provided the disability has no hindrance to the training, as
adjudged by NTTF Corporate Office at the time of admission.
- Individuals who possess recognized Engineering Trade Certificate / Engineering Diploma / Engineering Degree in any discipline
are not eligible.
- NTTF reserves the right to allot any centre to the candidate irrespective of his or her choice based on availability. In such an event
if the candidate does not join the allotted centre, he/she will automatically forfeit the seat.
How do I get into NTTF?
Admission to NTTF is based on performance in the Competitive Entrance Examination conducted through a simple and objective
type computer enabled test. Further details about the examination will be given along with the hall ticket.
How can I apply to NTTF?
The application form and instructions for filling it are enclosed. Follow the instructions carefully. The registration fee of Rs. 500/
(Additional Rs.1000/- for Industry nominated / NRI) payable by D.D in favour of NTTF at the respective centers is not refundable.

2.0 Entrance Exam :
2.1. SELECTION : A computer enabled common Entrance exam of objective type will be conducted. The candidates are expected to have
necessary familiarisation of computers. Candidates unfamiliar with computers wil be supported by NTTF by giving special coaching at
NTTF centres . Please contact the Principal of the nearest NTTF center along with the hallticket in case you need familiarisation of computer.
Selection of students for admission to various courses is based on the performance in the entrance examination.
2.2 Syllabus for entrance examination : All students appearing for certificate and diploma programme (CP01,CP-CA,CP-ITES,
CP02,CP03,CP04,CP08,CP09,CP15 and CP21) will be tested in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Aptitude at the level of the 10th
Standard. Please see the syllabus given below.

3.0 Selection and Allotment of seats;
3.1 Merit seats ; Based on the performance in the Entrance Exam, rank list will be prepared for each course and merit seats will be offered by NTTF based
on the preference given by the candidate, center opted, course opted, urban/rural quota and state wise reservation.
3.2 Fee category: After finalisation of merit seats, separate counseling will be planned, if so warranted, for all the courses at our training centers. Seats
will be allotted based on the rank list, option of the candidates and availability of seats on the day of counseling..
3.3 Industry nominated / NRI seats: Industry nominated / NRI category will be selected against specific reserved seats and seats will be allotted based
on the performance.
3.4 NTTF is an academic consultant to Govt. Of Sikkim which is running two polytechnics in that State with the assistance of World bank for the last 10
years.The diplomas are awarded jointly by NTTF & DTE Govt. of Sikkim and there has been good placement for all courses run at Sikkim.
3.5 Vocational Courses: NTTF also conducts skill oriented vocational courses in manufacturing, IT, Infrastructure sectors for a duration upto 6 months at
various locations for SSLC completed candidates with age limit upto 26 years. For details contact nearest centre.
