Paper 5. Practical Training in Business IT Applications
Accounting Packages:
Practical knowledge of basic accounting packages such as Tally or Focus etc with emphasis on:
Chart of Accounts, Financial year, General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), Fixed Assets, All cash and banking transactions and Journal Vouchers.
Exposure to Retail applications with emphasis on Point of Sales (POS) systems which includes inventory accounting.
Spread Sheets:
Features of Microsoft Excel, Data entry, Mathematical functions, using formulae, Pivotal tables, sorting data, and use of import /export data into excel.
Word Processor:
Features of Microsoft Word, document creation, mail merge, document settings for printing, import of data from excel into word, and security of features in MS word
