There are very few eminent colleges in India which is in reach with the rural people. Siddharth Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of those very few colleges which is in reach with the rural people with excellence in educational standards as well as in placement records. The college is situated near temple town Narayanavanam in the outskirts of Puttur town. This college is producing quality students with outstanding skills, who are basically from rural back ground.

This institution was established in the year 2001 with Intake of 240 students. Within a very short span of time, the institution has grown gigantic, Now the college has more than 2000 students ."Siddharth institute of Engineering " was transformed into "Siddharth group of institutions" with two constituent engineering colleges, Polytechnic college and MCA, MBA colleges. The college offers B.Tech, M.tech, MCA, MBA and various diploma courses.

Specialty of this college



A country is said to be going at a good progress if and only if all the sections of the country, people of all parts of the nation are getting quality education. Communication skills and exposure to IT world is very less for the students who are basically coming from a rural background. But this college is serving the rural people with best infrastructure facilities and gives great exposure to the Information world by bringing various professionals and skilled trainers. The main motto of the institution is to uplift the students from rural background in this competitive world. The chairman was awarded the "Educationalist of the year" award from WES( World Education Services), New Delhi.

Facilities and Infrastructure



This college has got all the things which are essential to provide a quality education. The college is equipped with about 500 computers in various department laboratories. Each and every department of the institution has got excellent lab facilities and is properly maintained and upgraded periodically. Each department is situated in separate block such that centralization of management of the institution becomes very easier. Sanitary facilities of the institution are worth mentioning, the institution is present in hygienic environment free from any kind of pollution.

Transportation Facilities



The college maintains buses which connects almost every possible student. Since Puttur is town with lot of transportation facilities, transportation is never a problem for the institution.

Skills development programs



The institution periodically invites guest lecturers to handle the classes. Each and every student is taken a perfect care by conducting counseling classes. The college also organizes symposiums, Seminar programs and various other technical events. The training and placement cell is the best part of the institution, In fact training and placement was made the part of curriculum in this institution.

Placements



The college brings reputed companies and conduct campus interviews. The institute also helps other college students by conducting off campus interviews. The college placement cell is a member of VIT placement consortium so that students can also attend the interviews conducted in VIT university. In this year recruitments so far almost 220 students have been placed in various reputed companies like Cognizant, Accenture, HCL info systems, Patni Computers, Syntel and Birlasoft. It is expected that at least 500 students will be placed this year.

Every college has various problems in spite of its best efforts. The college management is continuously working in wiping out flaws in the institution. It is not too longer for the institution becoming one of the best institutions of the state.
