Dapoli - Best Tourist Place in Ratnagiri (Konkan)

Dapoli is in Ratnagiri district (State - Maharashtra). It is famous place in Konkan. It is near to Khed (Khed is on Mumbai - Goa highway). Dapoli is Taluka place.

How to reach Dapoli

There are Mumbai - Dapoli & Thane - Dapoli S. T. buses (State Transport Buses). It is approximately 6 to 7 hours Bus journey from Mumbai or Thane. There is also option of Konkan railway. We can reach to Khed via railway. Then we can reach to Dapoli via S.T. Bus or Private vehicle.

About Dapoli

Dapoli is famous for Krushi Vidyapith. There is big area of Krushi Vidyapith. There are many other educational societies. There are many Mango trees in Dapoli and near villages. There are also many Kaju trees in Dapoli Taluka.

Keshavaraj Temple at Asud

Keshavaraj Temple is in village Asud (Area - Asud Baag), which is in Dapoli Taluka. It is very beautiful place to visit. Keshavaraj means Lord Vishnu. We can reach to Asud Baag via S. T. Bus. It is approximately 15-20 minutes journey via bus from Dapoli. We have to walk approximately 25-30 minutes from Asud Baag to Keshavaraj Temple. There are many trees in this area. It feels like jungle. There is Small River we have to cross through bridge. This bridge is build by Deodhar - Dixit - Dhamadhere Mandal. There is Gomukh at this temple, through which water falls.

Durga Devi Temple at Murud

Next to Asud there is Murud. We can reach there through auto or S. T. Bus (approximately 15 to 20 minutes from Asud). Durga Devi temple is beautiful. Murud is small village. It has good sea shore. Many tourists visit to this place.

Ganpati Temple at Anjarle

Anjarle is near to Asud (approximately 25 to 30 minutes through bus). There is beautiful Ganpati Temple at Anjarle. This area is also beautiful. There are many trees.

Harne village

Harne is near to Asud Village. It is famous harbor. It is famous for fish.

Chandika Devi Temple, Dabhol

Dabhol is near to Dapoli. There is Chandika Devi temple. It is famous. This temple is in cave. Dabhol is also famous for Dabhol electric Project.
