Computer users are prone to have the eye problems in the early age. To prevent it, follow the below tips to keep your eye healthy.

• Continuous staring the screen causes infrequent blinking, infrequent blinking reduces the spreading of tears to form the even film on the eye and this loss of natural moisture leads to dryness, irritation, redness and the eyestrain. So blink your eyes more often at least after every 20 mins for 20 sec, blink 20 times.

• Prevent dryness of your eyes by using the lubricating eye drops.

• Use anti-glare optically coated glass on your screen.

• Computer screen should be at a distance of about 20-30 inches from your eyes.

• Take visual breaks for 5 min after every 1hr.

• Rub your palms and then cover your eyes with palm for 60 secs. It relaxes your tired eyes.

• Avoid working on your computer in complete darkness or very low light conditions, as computer screen emits electromagnetic radiations which are hazardous to your eyes.

• Eat fruits like papaya, citrus and spinach daily.

• Keep the habit of eating salad in between meals.

• Use your specs daily.

• If you are using contact lenses then avoid wearing while swimming, as it is chlorinated water.

• Always check the validity of your contact lenses.

• Always use glasses while driving to prevent the blow of wind.

• Avoid rubbing your eyes; it can cause the dust particles to stick inside.

• Check the expiry date of your lubricator.

• Switch off your monitor if your are thinking.

• Go for regular check up of your eyes.
• Don’t keep bright light directly behind the screen.

• Use a desk lamp if possible instead of an overhead light.

Our eyes are really important since it is our way to view the world. We can appreciate nature with our eyes. The thing is so many people take it for granted and tend to abuse the sense of seeing. Well, your guidelines are very useful. It can certainly bring forth health and wellness. If I may add one additional information for healthy eyes. Basically this is a natural way to relax the eyes and remove the strain after using the computer all day. Simply rub the palm of the hands until it gets warm, once it's warm, close your eyes and place the each palm on the eyes. This will bring forth heat and expand the vessels of the eyes. Once the vessels expand, it brings more blood and oxygen to the cells of the eyes and ultimately relax the eyes. You can do this twice or thrice in one setting. The good thing is, since it's natural, there is no side effects.

Thank you for providing such an important information. As everybody know that eyes are the most senstive part of our body. We never egnore our eyes. I will suggest to do Yoga to keep your eyes totally free from various deseases of eyes. It will also improve your entire body and soul too.
