ADMISSION IN FLIM AND TELEVISION INSTITUTE OF INDIA
Admission Notification
Flim and Television Institute of India, Pune, an institute under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, invites application for admission 2008.
The students are selected by entrance exam .
Courses offered in Flims and Television :
1.Direction
2.Cinematography
3. Audiography
4. Editing
5. Acting
6. Art Direction and Production Design
7. Animation and Computer Graphics
8. Feature film screenplay writing
Short term courses:
FTII has been conducting in-service training in TV Production and Technical Operations for Doordarshan staff since 1974. Over the years new techniques have been introduced in these courses, such as digital recording. Apart from this, many new need based courses have been added for working professionals and people having interests in related areas. These courses aim at upgrading the operational skills of participants through intensive learning on latest equipment and technology. These courses are conducted round the year and offer an opportunity to the participants to benchmark their abilities in a professional environment. Admissions to these courses are regulated through advertisements in newspapers and public announcements on our website. So far FTII has conducted courses in basic and advanced videography, non-linear editing, multi-media applications in TV production, documentary production, art direction, make-up, 2D and 3D computer graphics, virtual sets and television productions, TV research methods and strategic television management
One year PG certificate courses are also offered in Television
The students are selected by Entrance Exam only.
Entrance Examination:
The Entrance Examination for all the courses except the Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics will be held on 25/5/2008.
The Entrance Examination for Certificate Course in Animation and Computer Graphics will be held at FTII, Pune, on 22/06/2008 followed by interviews on 24/06/2008.
LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FORMS: 21/04/2008
The Entrance Exam will held in Chennai and Bangalore. For some courses the entrance test held only in Pune.

I always wanted to be a Journalist but due to shortage of funds, I couldn't do. Can suggest me the simplest way to be a journalist. I am not able to invest on my study. Though I have experience of 2 years in this field however, I need to brush up my skills. I am looking for the distance learning programmes on the said course. Can you suggest me the name of the universities. I shall be greatful to you for this.
