BOARDING AND LODGING
Boarding and lodging will be provided
in the Institute hostel for the participants from
technical institutions.
Industrial participants have to make
their own arrangements for boarding and
lodging.
APPLICATION
Application can be sent in the format
enclosed along with a crossed DD for Rs.200/-
drawn in favour of The Director, NIT,
Tiruchirappalli - 620 015 payable at SBI, NIT
Branch, Tiruchirappalli - 620 015. This amount
will be returned to the participants who
attend the programme. The completed
application duly sponsored may be forwarded
to the coordinator.

INTRODUCTION:
Industrial Engineeing (IE) has gained more importance in the past few decades. IE concerns with the development, improvement implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment and process. The course is designed to equip the participants with concepts, tools and techniques of IE so that they can understand the concepts and implement in their concerns. The major aim of this course is to foster exchange of ideas
and experiences among the practitioners of industrial engineering and associated fields.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this Short Term Course is to focus on the depth and breadth of Industrial Engineering area and to enhance the research potential in the area of Industrial Engineering.

FACULTY:
The course faculty includes resource persons from various institutions like IIT,
IIM, IISc, NIT, Anna University and industries.
ELIGIBILITY:
Teachers from degree level technical institutions approved by AICTE are eligible
to attend the programme. However participants from industries are also eligible
to attend the programme with a course fee of Rs. 2000/- per participant.
TRAVELLING ALLOWANCE:
Only II Class Sleeper rail fare by the shortest route is admissible for to and from journey for the participants from technical institutions. No TA will be paid for industrial participants.
