National Community Health Nursing Conference - 2008 to be held at College of Nursing, Christian Medical College, Vellore-632004 during September 18-20, 2008. The Christian Medical College affirms a shared commitment to healing and the pursuit of professional excellence in the care of people and also in education and research.
The Theme of the conference is “Nursing Leadership in Community Health”. It aims to explore the nurse’s participation in reaching the goal of “Healthy people 2010”. The conference aims to bring Community Health Nurses from all parts of the country together and share collectively their knowledge and expertise on challenges of Community Health Nurses to meet the demands of the country at different leadership positions.
The conference will organize scientific sessions, panel discussions, concurrent sessions and poster presentations covering every angle of the proposed theme at various levels. It will also offer delegates an opportunity to share their views with colleagues engaged in similar activities.
Theme: Nursing Leadership in Community Health
Objectives :
To analyse the trends and developments in health care in the country
To understand the emerging roles of community health nurses
To recognize the increasing demands made on the leadership of Community health nurses in nursing education, practice, health management and research
