What is a good GRE score for entry to universities and colleges abroad which accepts the GRE.Any score you receive on the GRE will stay on your record for 5 years. So on test day after you have finished all the section before you see the scores you will have the option to cancel and not see your scores but if you opt not to cancel your scores your scores go on record and stay there for 5 years.

How is the GRE Scored?

Written Section:
Each essay is scored on a scale of 0 to 6 by two graders and averaged for an essay score. Average of Both your essay is your writing Score.

Math and Verbal Section:
Each section scaled to a score between 200 and 800. A computer adaptive test (CAT) adapts to your ability while you are taking the test. An internal Algorithm will determine how much weight will be given to each question.

Keep in mind

1)Any score you receive on the GRE will stay on your record for 5 Years. So on test day after you have finished all the section before you see the scores you will have the option to cancel and not see your scores but if you opt not to cancel your scores your scores go on record and stay there for 5 years

2)Schools will see all of the scores you have received within the last 5 Years

3)Some programs will take your BEST score; Others will take your average score

Who uses my GRE score?

If you are interested in Graduate schools in the USA a GRE score is most likely required for entrance for the program you are applying to.
