Programme Details - Objectives:
The broad objective of the programme is to help participants develop themselves, not only as more effective leaders but also as effective team members in the organizational context. The specific objectives are:
• Understanding Self: understanding one’s interpersonal styles and the strengths and limitations of each style
• Understanding Team Dynamics and how to Improve Team effectiveness: how teams develop and work, and how people act in team situations
• Examining Issues in Leadership: understanding the challenge for leaders, leadership styles, what works, and what is less effective
• Deconstructing Leadership: Using a leader’s biography to analyze the various facets of leadership and to draw lessons and learnings from such an analysis
Pedagogy:
Instructors will act more as facilitators in helping participants through the process of learning, using lectures, discussions, case studies, and experiential exercises. The learning will depend on active participation from participants, especially in sharing of experiences and learnings everyday.
Programme Directors:
Prof. Leena Chatterjee and Prof. Sujoya Basu are both faculty members of the Behavioral Sciences Group at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. Prof. Chatterjee has a rich teaching and training experience for private and public sector enterprises for more than two decades at IIMC. She also has publications in form of journal and newspaper articles, nationally and internationally. Prof. Basu has also been involved in teaching and training for more than two years at IIMC. She has varied industry experience in the capacity of both managerial and consultant positions, before joining IIMC. She has national & international level conference publications to her credit.

For the participants, accommodation is arranged from the evening of the day before the programme. Participants are requested to report at the Reception Desk of Tata Hall latest by 9.00 a.m. on the first day of the Programme. Reception of Tata Hall is manned round the clock.
The Programmes are expected to be over by 2. 00 p.m. on the last day of the Programme. The participants are requested/expected to make their travel plan accordingly.
Programme Fees: Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only)
Programme fees are to be paid by Demand Draft/Cheque payable at any Bank in Kolkata. The DD/Ch. should be made in favour of “Indian Institute of Management Calcutta” and sent to the below mentioned address at least three weeks prior to the commencement of any MDP.
