Quality has today become a key differentiator for competitiveness for products and services in the global market. Quality management ensures the ability of a product or service to meet customer expectations. Producing quality does not happen by accident. Production, services, organizations and systems must be designed to deliver quality. Quality, when built into a system, makes for happy employees and satisfied customers. Quality products need not necessarily be expensive for business. Quality management may actually cut down costs and make your business more competitive. It is therefore imperative that executives are aware of the principles, tools and techniques of Quality Management Systems, to judiciously apply them to business advantage. This short duration programme addresses this training requirement.

All participants will receive reading materials in this regard. Case studies highlighting applications in different sectors will be discussed. Computer tutorials covering various analytical techniques will be done in the familiar environment of Microsoft Excel.

The programme targets senior and middle management executives in production and service sectors.

Programme Duration: 23-26 January 2009
Residential participants may arrive at Tata Hall in the evening of 22 January 2009.
Accommodation will be provided up to the afternoon of 26 January 2009. Non-residential participants are required to report at the Tata Hall at 9.00 am on 23 January 2009.
Programme Fee: Rs.30,000/- per participant. No refund of fees will be made after the Institute has accepted the nomination. Option is available to the participant to attend the programme on residential or non-residential basis. However, participation on a residential basis is encouraged. The programme fee is same for both. It covers tuition, course materials, lodging and boarding expenses. Participants are required to make their own arrangements for to and fro travel between Kolkata Airport/Railway Station and Tata Hall, IIM Calcutta.
Group Discount
A discount of 10% per participant is offered to companies who sponsor four or more participants to the programme.
Programme Venue and Facilities
The programme will be held at the Management Development Centre (Tata Hall) of IIM Calcutta campus. Residential participants will be provided with air-conditioned single bedroom with attached bathroom and telephone.
