The CBSE results for class X have been delayed this year, 2011.The results were supposed to be declared on 16th May,2011 but they have surpassed their historical marks and in the process they have increased anxiousness level to a new high.What difference it could make to the students, read on.....

As I gather from a friend of mine, CBSE had no history of delaying class X results more than 26th of May but this year, in 2011, it has surpassed this date and according to informed sources it may be published on 31st May,2011 but in case of any bottle necks appearing, the results may also be declared sometime in June,2011. The delay is being attributed to the introduction of CCE(Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation)as a new measure of improvement in the curriculum this year.It is being claimed that since the results not only involve tabulation of marks but also other entries like hobbies, performance in extra-curricular activities etc.,it is taking more time to accomplish the process of result declaration.But at the same time it is true that more number of students had opted for school based examinations rather than board conducted examination and it was the duty of the concerned schools to provide and upload the details of marks and other performance related parameters. The schools must have completed and sent the details much earlier since CBSE had given strict deadlines in the matter.Also since CCE was introduced since April, 2010, there was much time to chalk out a good plan and work accordingly to publish the results in time.

Since the delay has already set in, it is time to think what problems it may create to the students as well as take care to avoid any bad outcome.

At this stage of their career, students are not quite conscious about their career growth prospects and their think tank consists of parents,relatives, teachers,friends and other well wishers.Anxiousness of the students and parents is on the rise.Since admissions to class XI in various streams will get delayed, the institutes will be in a hurry, after declaration of results, to complete the admission process as well as start classes to weed out any lags.The entire scenario may affect students and parents adversely. The prefixed itineraries may have to be changed and decisions may have to be made in a hurry.

It will be good to remain cool and patient in such a situation. We must believe in our system and maintain a positive attitude about it.If a delay has occurred due to faults in the system it will provide full opportunities to deserving candidates.For any delays in the start of classes, students may take to self study of onward classes and hence save crucial future time.
