NISH,Trivandrum invite applications for B.Sc. & BFA courses reserved for hearing impaired students.


National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Trivandrum, has invited application for the following Degree courses (affilaiated with Kerala University), exclusively reserved for Hearing impaired students. B.Sc. (Computer Science)-Three Years Bachelor of Fine Arts - Four Years

The National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH), Trivandrum, is an institution, set up with the support of Government of Kerala and aimed for the rehabilitation of persons with speech and hearing impairment.

For the coming academic year 2011-2012, NISH has invited applications for admission to the following Degree Courses (affiliated with Kerala University), which has been exclusively reserved for hearing impaired students.

B.Sc. (Computer Science):
Course Duration: 3 year course having 6 semesters.

Bachelor of Fine Arts :
Course Duration: 4 year course having 8 semesters

Required qualification for applying the course is as follows

Plus Two / Pre degree or its equivalent from any Board or University in India. or Recognized as equivalent for admission to a degree course in the University of Kerala or equivalent of 10+2 education in India or abroad.

Applicants must use speech and residual hearing and/or speech reading as the primary mode of communication.

Those who would like to get the application by post should enclose a Demand Draft for Rs 125/- payable at Trivandrum, drawn in favour of Director, NISH, Trivandrum along with their request.

June 6, 2011 is the last date for submission of filled up application forms.
Entrance examination for admission to Degree courses (HI) will be conducted on Saturday June 11, 2011.
