Introduction

Negotiating, entering into and effective management of Commercial Contracts is a daunting task for any organisation in the current context of globalisation and E-commerce. Several changes are being implemented at all levels of national and international commerce in terms of laws, rules, regulations and practices; For eg. VAT, Currency convertibility, commercial terms, model contracts, e-contracts etc. This programme aims at familiarising executives in all relevant aspects of negotiating and management of commercial contracts through topic by topic exposition, self-instruction exercises, case studies, role play and query clarifications

Contract Models: ICC, UNCITRAL, FIDIC etc.

Long-duration infrastructure contracts like BOOT, BOLT, BOO, LSTK, EPS, etc.

Large Construction Contracts, FIDIC guidelines, and handling of international contracts

Collaboration and Joint-venture contracts and Transfer Pricing Issues

Tax and forex issues related to contracts

Investment Risk Perceptions: Counter trade, Offsets, MIGA etc

Programme Director

Prof.S.Krishnamurthy is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has more than three decades of experience as a Trainer, Consultant and Faculty in the areas of Commercial Laws, Indirect Taxes, Commercial Contracts and International trade. He is a visiting faculty at IIMB. Besides teaching Indirect Taxes and General Commercial Knowledge to the Post-Graduate students, he handles several sessions in a number of executive education programmes.
