IBPS Exam 2011 for clerks, apply online now
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) first time going to conduct common written examination for clerical cadre for 15 public sector banks in India. Read this article for all important information related to this exam.
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced recruitment project for clerical cadre positions. Total 19 public sector banks of India are participating in the Common Written Examination (CWE) 2011.
The list of banks participating in the recruitment process is as follows:
2.Indian Overseas Bank
4.Oriental Bank of Commerce
5.Bank of Baroda
6.Punjab National Bank
7.Bank of India
8.Punjab & Sind Bank
9.Bank of Maharashtra
12.Union Bank of India
13.Central Bank of India
14.United Bank of India
A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in Matriculation/ SSC (old pattern)/ SSLC/ 10th standard Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidates a pass in the aggregate in Matriculation/ SSC (old pattern)/ SSLC/ 10th standard Examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent OR
A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/ 11th standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre-University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government or Union Territory administration. For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidates a pass in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern)/ 11th standard of (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/ Pre-University or any equivalent examination/ Diploma in Banking recognized by Central/ State Government or Union Territory administration OR
Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Between 18 years and 28 years as on 1 August 2011 (for general category). Candidates who belongs to other category may see advertisement for age relaxations.
IBPS will held written test for clerks common written exam (cwe) 2011 on 27 November, 2011 at different examination centre. Written exam will be for 5 objectives for total: 250 marks. Candidates have to complete this test within 2.5 hours.
Application fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex-Servicemen category candidates is Rs 50 and fee for other category candidates is Rs 350.
How to Apply
Candidates who are eligible and desirous to get bank jobs may apply online at IBPS official website www.ibps.in after deposit fee.
Starting date for Online Submission of Applications: 25 August 2011
Payment of Application Fees: 24 August 2011 to 23 September 2011 (both days inclusive)
Last date for Online Submission of Applications: 24 September 2011
Last date for making changes in Application Details: 26 September 2011
Download of Call letter for Written Examination: After 11 November 2011
Date of Written Examination: 27 November 2011

Thanx for the information sir,
It is great initiative by the IBPS for the betterment of candidates applying for the bank POs. and MTs.
From now one can easily get a job in bank by just one common exam.
And please kindly correct your information regarding "participating banks list. and Number of banks participating.
It is 19 banks instead of 15 Banks

Thanks for this post. Now since the application period has been over, candidates must be studying hard. I am doing the same myself as I have applied for the IBPS CWE Exam 2011 and I was looking for practice test papers. However the link of practice test you have provided is for older bank exams and not of IBPS CWE, though it will somewhat serve the purpose.
