ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA-
Candidates should pass all the subjects in the recognised qualifying degree with a minimum of 50% marks for General and 45% marks for reserved categories, SC/ SCA/ST/BC/BCM/MBC and DNC candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, in the qualifying examination with-
1. TANCET 2011 scorecard.
OR
2. GATE score and qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in the appropriate discipline of Engineering /Technology.
OR
3. valid GATE score and qualifying marks prescribed for assistantship in Engineering Science (XE) and Life Science (XL) papers along with TANCET 2011 score would be considered for admission to M.E. /M.Tech ./M.Arch ./M.Plan. degree programmes.

Reservation is also applied according to Govt. norms for GATE/Non-Gate categories.
Procedure for apply-
Application forms can be obtained in the following modes:
• Application form can be obtained IN PERSON by Cash / Demand Draft for
Rs. 500/- for General (Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on
production of a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card) towards registration fee at

• Application form can also be obtained BY POST by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 600/- for general (Rs. 350/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Certificate card), (includes postal charges) along with a requisition letter and an address slip written in capital letters, from the Secretary, TANCA, Anna university, Chennai – 600 025.
• THROUGH INTERNET: The application form, information and instructions to candidates are available in the website www.annauniv.edu/tanca2011. The print out application and registration fee for Rs. 500/- for General (Rs.250/- for SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu by enclosing a copy of Permanent Community Card) in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of "The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Common Admissions, Anna University, Chennai" payable at Chennai drawn on or after 10.7.2011, should be sent along with all the enclosures, through registered post / speed post to The Secretary, Tamil Nadu Common Admissions, Anna University, Chennai 600 025 to reach on or before 30.7.2011 (5.30 p.m.). Counselling date will be intimated to the individuals through a call letter / Anna University, Chennai website www.annauniv.edu/tanca2011

ii. Last date for issue of application form : 23.07.2011
iii. Last date for submission of filled-in application: 30.07.2011

The completed application should reach 'The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University, Chennai 600 025' on or before 30.07.2011 by 5.30 p.m. Applications received after the due date and time will not be considered.
