INTRODUCTION
The National Institute of Nursing Education was established in 1964 in
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh with the aim to
bring primary health services within the reach of all individuals. The Nursing Institute is
offering graduate and postgraduate degree courses in nursing. The institute is affiliated
to Panjab University, Chandigarh which awards of degrees after successful completion
of the programme of studies and practical experience in the hospital and community.
The nursing institute has been preparing clinical practitioners, nursing
administrators and educators to shoulder responsible positions and facilitate better
education with added thrust to nursing research and short term courses in specialities of
nursing. Faculty and students are members of National Professional Organizations.
The session starts once in a year in the month of July. The
advertisement appears in the leading newspapers in the first week of April.
The last date for receipt of applications is 2.5.2008.
