Online Masters Programme in Intellectual Rights
IGNOU enters into Collaborative Agreement with Queensland University of Technoloyg (QUT), Australia for online Masters Programme in Intellectual Rights.
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia and jointly developing online Masters Programme in Intellectual Property Rights. An Agreement to this effect will be signed on 7th April, 2008 at New Delhi in the presence of the Premier of Queensland. Prof. Omprakash Mishra, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU and Prof. Arun Sharma, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, QUT would sign the Agreement.
The two years Masters programme is a unique programme and first of its kind in India to develop knowledge, awareness, and practical skills in Intellectual Property Rights. The objective of this programme is to develop new brand of Intellectual Property Lawyers and supporting professionals. Students those who pass the first year of the Masters Programme at IGNOU would be eligible to proceed to QUT to complete the Second Year of the Masters Progrmme in Intellectual Property Laws and obtain both IGNOU and Qut degrees.
The programme will commence in January 2009 and students from all over the world would be eligible for enrolment.
