Velammal Engineering College (VEC) is offering an opportunity for world's top technologists to engage in an open exchange of ideas on the topic VLSI DESIGN AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS which is becoming a revolution in the world's industrial capability.
Velammal Engineering College was started in the year 1995 to provide quality technical education and to inculcate among the youth, a sense of discipline, which is important to mould them into useful and capable citizens. It is a premier educational institution in Tamil Nadu with student strength around 3000. VEC is an ISO 9001-2000 certified and NBA accredited self financing engineering college affiliated to Anna University.
VEC is organizing International conferences annually. This event has been received well by professionals and academicians as is evidenced by the participation and the quality of the papers received in the previous conferences. The presentation of high-quality Technical papers has made it possible for participants to learn about new directions in the development in Current technology. The cordial professional atmosphere has made this an enjoyable learning experience.
Scope
The 2008 International conference on VLSI DESIGN AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS will provide, those involved in the field of VLSI and embedded systems, an opportunity to meet and present their Research and ideas in this international forum. The three day conference is from Feb 14th – 16th, 2008 at VEC.
The scope of the 2008 International conference on VLSI DESIGN AND EMBEDDED SYSTEMS covers all aspects of VLSI Technology & Embedded Systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
VLSI – Physics & Technology
Power Optimization Techniques
Reconfigurable Hardware Design
Synthesis , Analysis & Testing Tools (CAD/EDA methodologies)
Analog & Digital mixed signal SOC
ASIC Design
VLSI Architecture & Implementation
Asynchronous Design
VLSI Signal Processing
Embedded Application Development
Embedded OS
Embedded System – Hardware/Software Co-design
Testing, Verification and Validation of embedded devices.
Submission of Papers
Prospective authors intended to submit papers may contact the conference coordinator for submission of abstracts. The abstracts are to be in the IEEE format of two pages. The abstract must include the title, the author's names, affiliation, full address, phone and FAX numbers, and email address. Faxed and/or e-mailed copies of the abstract along with hard copy may be sent to the conference coordinator .
Complete paper for the conference must be in IEEE Format and not to exceed eight pages including illustrations. The length of the paper will not be a criterion in selection of the papers for the program. All papers received will be reviewed by the reviewing committee and acknowledged by the conference coordinator. Accepted papers will be intimated to the authors and printed in the conference proceedings without opportunity for further change. The deadline for Submission of full paper is December 14, 2007 and acceptance of paper will be acknowledged before January 7, 2008
To improve the probability for acceptance of a submitted paper, the paper should describe original work with specific results from experiments or simulations. The content of the paper must not be announced or published prior to the conference.
