The series entitled as Payback series by the fans and also media people. This series is really important for team India has of now they are ranked 5th in ICC ODI team rankings. Though they are the World Champions due to poor performance in England, they have been dropped to 5th spot and by the win they produced on 14th October they moved one spot ahead of England and now in 4th spot.

The two captain were in center for the toss and the home team captain MS Dhoni spinned the coin and Cook called for heads and it was a tail and MS Dhoni has won the toss and he elected to bat first.

India started of slowly and steadily.Finn produced a miracle for Rahane and it got edged and went to first slip were Trott was waiting and he spilled a dolly. Parthiv Patel was very unlucky to get out in such a fashion and he knew he was gone and he was almost at the edge of the boundary to walk to the dug out. Finn was the person again to do such a miracle and Patel was gone and here comes the inform batsmen Gautam Gambir who missed the entire ODI series in England due to concession.

India building up partnership very slowly and steadily.The batsmen are very keen that they should never loose a wicket and Rahane was having a tough time with his bat because he feels really hard to score runs or to rotate strike. Rahane tried to go after the number one ranked bowler Swann and he miss timed it and he misses the ball and Kieswetter collected the ball and dislodged the bails and Rahane is gone. Swann again strikes in his very first over.

Virat Kholi joined Gambir and Kholi was at his best he showed his skills and talents in the recently concluded Champions League T20. At this young age Kholi has brought the attention of many young fans and also selectors view on him. Dernbach with a slow full toss delivery has done the trick and Gambir gone for a leg before wicket.

Raina joined Kholi and team India was following a left hand and a right hand combination tactics. Raina had to prove himself because of his poor show in West Indies and also in England and also in Champions League T20. He scored only few runs and also was given many opportunities. His quickness in the filed and his sharpness was the only thing that glued his spot in the squad. Kholi planned to go after Patel who had a poor show down in England and he got close to the pitch off the ball and he lofted over inside out extra-cover boundary however he managed only to find KP who timed his jump to perfection and grabbed the ball. Kholi looked in discomfort and in disbelief.

Raina was joined by the captain of India MS Dhoni. Dhoni was the person who scored a good amount of runs for team India in the last few ODI matches and he was the person who scored consecutive half centuries. Before the start of this series Dhoni asked BCCI for a vacation as he had to spend some time with his family and also need some rest and however it was declined by BCCI. The reason provided by BCCI was Team India had already lost many of the key players due to injury and it required Dhoni skills and his batting performance.

Dhoni and Raina made looking batting easier and they both rotated the strike very easily and scored boundaries every over and also Raina scored his 18th half century with a beautiful straight six. These two were running good between the wickets like converting singles into doubles and doubles to three's.

Finn once again provided a break in India's innings by grabbing the wicket of Raina. RA Jadeja joins Dhoni who had started to cut loose his hands and trying to score boundaries and sixes.Dhoni completed his half century in style.

Team India completed his 50 overs scoring 300/8. India were 123/4 in 29th over and added 177 runs in the remaining overs. India added 163 runs in the last 16 overs scoring almost 10 runs per over. England required 301 runs to win in 50 overs.

England started their innings with Cook and Kieswetter and Praveen Kumar for team India to open the pace attack.

Praveen Kumar drew the first blood for India by grabbing the wicket of inform Kieswetter and KP joined the party with his captain Cook. KP was the man who had good records in Indian pitches.

KP was having a problem behind the side screens due to constant movement of people which frustrated the bowler. KP is gone by a inch and Ashwin had to throw the ball at the stumps and he made look easy and the hard hitting KP gone for 19 runs and team England lost their inform batsmen. Indian crowd were at their top of their voices and cheering for the wicket of KP.

Indian spinners were brought into action by Dhoni. England batsmen were finding it really difficult to face the spin attack. Ashwin and Jadeja were the Indian spin attack and they were really good to contain and also increase the required rate for England as a result providing pressure for the English batsmen.

Jadeja and Ashwin together picked up 6 wickets in total with 3 wickets in each. Cook, Trott and Bairstow fell victim to Jadeja. Bopara, Bresnan and Dernbach fell victim to Ashwin.

During the batting powerplay Swann fell victim to low bouncer from U.Yadav who took 2 crucial wickets and Ashwin finished the wicket of Dernbach.

India booked a second biggest win against England. India beat England by 127 runs and opened the series with a win and finally their loosing streak had come to an end.

Dhoni was awarded Man of the match and RA Jadeja was awarded Dual Performer award.
