CMAT : Common Management Admission Test ( 2012-13 )

Common Management Admission Test, CMAT 2012-13 is being conducted by AICTI, All India Council of Technical Education. This is a computer based online examination. Candidates who qualify in CMAT will get admission in AICTI recognized institutes conducting MBA and PG Management courses all over India. A merit list will be made for the successful candidates at the time of the declaration of results.

Eligibility Criteria to appear for CMAT

The interested candidate should have successfully passed graduation in any stream with total marks not less than 50%.
The candidate in the final year of graduation course are also eligible to apply for the examination.

CMAT Examination pattern

There will be 4 sections. Each section will have 25 questions with 100 marks. Thus a candidate's performance will be judged on a grand total of 400 marks. Each correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and 1 marks will be deducted for a wrong answer. The examination will be conducted for 180 minutes or 3 hours, with no provision of any break inbetween. The computer based examination will be conducted in two shifts in a day. This is an online examination and the candidates will get their workstation at the time of registration.

1. Quantitative analysis - 25 questions - 100 marks - 45 minutes.

2. Logical reasoning - 25 questions - 100 marks - 45 minutes.

3. English Comprehension - 25 minutes - 100 marks - 45 minutes.

4. General awareness - 25 minutes - 100 marks - 45 minutes.

Declaration of the result, CMAT 2012-13

The result of CMAT 2012-13 will be declared in the following website by the 11th of March 2012.

Date of computer based entrance examination : 20th - 28th February 2012.

Time of examination :

1st shift : 9.30 am - 12.30 pm ( 3 hours )

2nd shift : 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm ( 3 hours )

How to prepare for CMAT Examination, 2012-13

English Comprehension - The candidate should pay much stress on english grammer. To attempt questions on Comprehension successfully the candidate should read english articles and good books.

Quantitative section - This section may have questions from from Arithmetic, algebra, mensuration, etc. A candidate can score much in these subjects. The candidate should practice questions from AICTI books also.

General Awareness - To attempt General Awareness questions successfully the candidate should try to increase his/her knowledge on general topics like Science, history, geography, political science, current affairs, politics, etc.

Logical reasoning - For logical reasoning the candidate should practice more and more practice papers from the logical reasoning books available in the market. The candidate should practice from AICTI books and CMAT sample papers. This way the candidate will learn speed and waste of time can be prevented.

The candidate will be judged on basis of knowledge, accuracy, speed, intelligence, analytical ability, decision making capacity and many other factors.
