What is the selection procedure for admission?
You will have to go across an examination procedure. This is a written examination. You are expected to hold a better grip over the related language. So far as the question of entry into the bachelor degree Arts course is concerned, the marks obtained at your 10+2 level should be at least 45 % and for entry into the MA course, the marks obtained at the graduation level should be 45 %.

- School of Arts and Aesthetics:
This is the latest institute under JNU which is giving flights to the youths in Arts and its related fields.
- School of computer science & system science:
After having been established in 1974, this college has attracted youths in a larger numberIts relevance has increased much more since the recent revolution in the area of IT.
- School of computational and integrated science:
This institute offer MTech degree and computation and doctorate and pre-doctorate courses in computation and bioinformatics. The most favoured subjects by the researcher students here are genomics, database management, structure based bioinformatics, etc.
- School of life science:
This also is one of the oldest colleges of JNU. This was eastablished in 1970 on the recommendations of the committee formed under the chairmanship of prof M.S. Swaminathan. This has crved a niche through the world over for its research, development and study works.
- School of social science:

Established in 1956, this school is supposed to be the foundation of JNU. The study of mutual international relations and issues of international importance is done here. - School of language, literature and cultural studies:
This is the lone institution under JNU running undergraduate courses. In it, separate centres of Latin, Chinese, German, Arabic, French, Russian languages are run for the students. Under its scheme, several Indian languages too have been added.
- School of environment science:
Study of remote sensing, earth quake, under ground water, environmental physics, cell biology, and immunology related fields are carried out in this school.
- School of bio technology:
This was established in 2006. It was formerly active as the 'centre for biotechnology' but on the face of the growing demand and need of the biotechnology and the ever enlarging opportunities in this area on the global level, research oriented courses have emerged significant.
