The hindi film released on Friday 9 March 2012 "Kahaani" has started pretty good on Box Office. The leading actress in this film is "Vidya Balan" who is showing her spark once again in this off beat film. After the recent fame-wave of "Dirty Pictures" Vidya Balan is again making a strong impression with "Kahaani"

The film "kahaani" is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, Pen India Private Limited and Sujoy Ghosh. The maker of films like "Home Delivery" (2005) and "Jhannkaar Beats" (2003), Sujoy Ghosh has penned the story of "Kahaani". Sujoy Ghosh is also credited for directing and co producing this Suspense thriller film.

Storyline of the film Kahaani

Vidya Balan, the screen name in the film is "Vidya Bagchi", arrives in Kolkata from London. The Seven months pregnant vidya get astonished as her husband goes missing. Alone in the city, she begins a dramatic search for her husband. Everyone tries to convince Vidya that her husband is a non-existing personality. All the clues reach a dead end, and vidya has nothing but the memories in her hand. But she is determined to un-cover the truth and find her husband.

Kahaani is shot in the Kolkata city, and the major caste and crew is majorly formed by Bengali actors. Parambrata Chatterjee plays the male lead role of a police officer and has managed to make a realistic mark on the role.

Amitabh Bacchan sings for Kahaani

The Big B's fans will once again get to hear his voice in a song in kahaani. Amitabh bacchan has sung a song "Ekla Chalo re" which is a composition of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore.
