Sri Lanka a land of beauty and culture
Sri Lanka is a small country on the south eastern coast of India. This beautiful island is spread at a radius 65610 kilometers and is surrounded by a diversity of population, culture and tourist places. In this article I will review Sri Lanka as a Tourist attraction.

Best time to visit The average temperature of Sri Lanka remains about 27 degrees. This island is filled up with coconut trees and date trees. If you want to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Sri Lanka the best time to visit would be between December to April. The languages spoken there are Sinhalese, English and Tamil.
Tourist attractions NIGAMBO- Most tourists visiting Sri Lanka go to the sea shores at the western side of the island. Nigambo is tourist center some 27 kilometers from Colombo, the Capital of Sri Lanka and 6 kilometers from the airport. This spot is famous for its seashores, variety of fishes found there, water sports, boating and night life.
MOUNT LAVINIA- This is only 12 Kilometers far from Colombo. This is an ideal tourist spot for roaming in the evenings. Other tourist spots near the mount area are Vaduva which is some 35 kilometers from Colombo, Kalutai which is some 40 kilometers from Colombo, Hikaduba which is 98 kilometers from Colombo and unnavatuna which also a great tourist spot.These spots are famous for their beaches and other tourist attractions. Unnavatuna is probably the most famous among these. The beaches of Sri Lanka rank among the international top 10 beaches.
TOP BEACHES- The eastern beaches of Sri Lanka are famous for their serenity and natural beauty. The top beaches on the eastern side are Nilavali, Uppuveli and Malkudaha. On the northern side the famous beaches are Jaffna, Kasuarina and Kalpatia which are famous for natural beauty.
WILDLIFE- 13% of the Sri Lankan area has been declared monumental and wildlife protected. Sri Lanka provides a good opportunity to view wildlife from close up. There is a diversity of birds, fishes and animals here. There are 51 types of crabs found here. The wildlife has been protected here by the Government since a very long time.
Cultural monuments Most people in Sri Lanka follow Buddhism. This was spread to Sri Lanka through the son of the emperor Ashoka. Sri Lanka is famous the world over for its monuments. Top 7 monuments declared by UNESCO are in Sri Lanka. If you want to enhance your experience in Sri Lanka you can take part in activities like speed boating, banana boating, surfing, wind surfing, trekking, rock climbing and mountain climbing.
What to buy Sri Lanka is big producer of tea.One can see tea farming activities taking place in the fields there. 'Celone Tea' is a famous Sri Lankan tea product. One can get black, green and white tea varieties there. Sri Lanka is also famous for its spices like Cinnamon,Cardamom, Pepper and Cloves. This island is also famous for its precious stones and gems. Figures and handicrafts made of Silver, bronze and leather are also famous there. Sri Lanka is famous for its five star hotels, resorts, boating properties, guest houses and night clubs. All these places are in the midst of natural beauty and serenity.
