The meaning of space weather is directly linked with the sun. The space weather tells us that when the tornado of is going to rise create by the radiation of sun and what its direction and intensity would be. The word Space weather, no matter might sound new to you today, but it is very soon it would be noticed with prominence by you. Space weather is becoming essential gradually for power houses, oil refinery plants, and Railways.

The dangers of space weather

Sun is interfering with the Railway signals, satellites and astronauts. The day is not very far off when along with the weather of the earth; we will have to have the knowledge of the space too to survive. Its reason is the milling storm of radiation from the sun which has the force of badly pulverising the magnetic power of our earth planet. The result is a gargantuan problem emerging up for our world which is based on the technology to the extents that even the Railway signals would automatically get red or green at its mercy causing chaos, accidents and confusion in the entire functioning of the Railway system.

Need to monitor the space weather besides the earth's weather

We all know how important sun has been for the humankind. In another word, we cannot survive without the sunlight. Hence the worshipping of sun from the primeval period! But this has now become more important and the situation is that we are compelled to monitor this every moment.

According to the solar scientists, there would occur a very fast and furious storm in the sun in 2013. No matter it doesn't cause any destruction but several disturbances from it cannot be ruled out. So far due to the solar tornado, one of the satellites of America has already been turned to smithereens and it is posing great dangers to the international space station perched alongside other satellites and constellations with astronauts living in them.

Owing to the collision of a massive tornado triggered from the space weather in 1859, the telegraph lines in America had been totally pulverised and destroyed causing immense damage to several machineries and technology equipments. In 1989, the Quebec City of Canada was submerged into complete darkness for a total of 9 hours. It was later on found out that this mayhem was caused by the tornado of the solar radiation. Small sized solar tornado from 2000-2005 had for several times over suddenly turned the railway signals in the Archangel province of north eastern Russia completely devastated. After a special study, it could transpire that the reasons behind these incidents were the solar tornado.

Although our country has remained unscathed from the solar tornadoes, nevertheless it means that the charged particles of the solar typhoon will keep on showering on the western world only. In our country also, it must have affected adversely but since it was quite a new knowledge, due to lack of which we didn't take the interfering with the Railway Signals very seriously.

Accurate forecasting

The solar scientists have foretold of the strong tornado to visit the planet earth in 2013 but this is difficult to say anything about as of now. It might be possible if the Railway departments of the entire countries of world keep the record of the dates and timings of the faults occurring in their signalling system and the data made available to the scientists for further investigations. Only then could the scientists be able to arrive at the conclusion regarding the role played up by the solar tornado.

Although, it is not very hard to save the signals from solar tornadoes but the cost involved would be utterly massive in a country like India with a very vast Railway networks.
