hello friends.....
let me share my experience attending for Satyam recruitment process
it consisted of 3 rounds
1)aptitude test
2)essay writing
3)personal interview
APTITUDE TEST:
it consisted of 15 questions and the duration was 30 minutes....
an average student can easily score 7 to 8
OUT OF 2000 STUDENTS 330 WERE SHORT LISTED
some of the related topics were:
TIME AND WORK
SIMPLE INTEREST
SEQUENCE AND SERIES
PRYAMIDS
PUZZLE FROM RS.AGARWAL
AREA OF PRISM WHEN THE DIMENSIONS OF TRAPEZIUM ARE GIVEN
2 SMALL READING COMPREHENSIONS
LINE GRAPHS
NON-VERBAL REASONING
SIMPLE ALGORITHM IS GIVEN AND ASKED TO FIND THE RESULT

all the short listed students participated in essay writing...
though it's not an eliminating round,questions based on this were asked in personal interview....
my topic was "should there be any minimum qualification to enter into politics?"

the personal interview was really very cool.....
u can see it from the following conversation....

ME:Please may i come in

HR:yes..

ME:good afternoon

HR:good afternoon...please take your seat..

HR:Tel me about your family background

ME: i gave a satisfactory answer

HR:explain about your essay

ME:i explained what ever i wrote in my essay

HR: so you are from ECE background

ME:yes sir

HR:ok..what is a transducer?

ME:i explained him including giving an example

HR:what is a microprocessor

ME:he was satisfied with my answer...

HR:what is a bi-directional bus

ME:a simple answer was given by me

HR:what is direct memory access

ME:he was impressed by my answer

HR:what is your career objective

ME:i told him how interested i am to start my career as a software developer and explore all my oppurtunities as time goes on...

HR:see you again

ME:nice meeting you sir...thank you...

friends be cool while you face an interview...just imagine yourself as you are dealing with a client in your company...
