Many NITs have started integrated graduation programmes in Sciences (Integrated M.Sc). NIT-Surat was the first NIT to start these programme in 2007 and this year the first batch will be passed out. Many NIT offers Integrated M.Sc degrees in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry. Emphasis is given on research aptitude and not on company placement. So if you are willing to dig into Sciences this is the best of available choice rather than joining local engineering college after +2. Seat Matrix for NIT Surat is 30 for each branch with 15 in open category. Every year an exam called C.A.T.S is taken and based on this admission is granted. Tentative dates for the availability of form is 1st week of May from the official website of NIT, Surat and exam would be taken in last week of June.
