Applications are invited from eligible candidates for most awaited Japanese Government Scholarship for 2013. This scholarship is offered to Indian residents by Government of Japan. The scholarship is extended to the students willing to pursue education in Master's Level and Ph.D level programmes in Japanese Universities. Value of Japanese Government Scholarship is Rs. 91310 approx. (143000 yen) for Research students Course, Rs. 91950 approx. (144000 Yen) for students enrolled in a post graduation program or a professional degree program, Rs. 92590 approx. (145,000Yen) for students enrolled in a doctoral program. Students undertaking study research in specially designated regions can be provided additional stipend of 2000 or 3000 yen. Scholarship duration is 2 years. Eligibility for Japanese Government Scholarship

1. Age of the applicant should be less than 35 years as on 1 April, 2013.
2. Candidate (applying for Masters' degree) must have passed graduation in relevant stream with at least 65% marks in aggregate. Mark sheet and degree for this purpose must be obtained by candidate on or before the date mentioned in Pt. 1
3. Candidate applying for Research Studies/Ph.D must possess Masters' degree in relevant stream with at least 65% marks in aggregate. Practical research/teaching/work experience after post graduation is desirable.
4. Candidate applying for Japanese Studies must possess Masters' degree in relevant stream with at least 65% marks in aggregate.
5. Candidate applying for Japanese Language must be enrolled in Masters degree course in Japanese language.
