'Five Point Someone ' Chetan's first novel was written on the background of Delhi I.I.T. It tells the story of three intimate friends namely Hari, Ryan and Alok. The three friends used to celebrate life by breaking the strict rules and regulations of the I.I.T. They celebrated their youth by roam around and loved the daughter of the professor. Chetan conveys his own experiences in the I.I.T through this novel. 'Five point someone' represents friendship and love in a wonderful manner. Chetan occupied his place in the Indian- English literature just with his two prime novels. It was beginning from a suicide letter which he came across in a holy day. Ahmadabad was the background of The 3 mistakes of my life. It was the most controversial novel among Chetan Bhagat. It was story of the life and dreams of three friends namely Govind, Ishaan and Omi. The novel becomes much controversial since it deals with communal riots as well as politics.

'Two States' is the story of two Ahmadabad I.I.T students. They were belonged to two different stateof the country. Krish ,the former is the native of Punjab and the latter Anusha Swaminathan belonged to Tamil Nad. Revolution 2020: Love, Corruption, Ambition is the latest novel of Chetan Bhagat. Love triangle, corruption, politics and Educational trade. The story of the novel is develops through the lives of three friends namely Gopal, Raghav and Aarati. As Chetan's other novels Revolution 2020 also deals with business and love. ' Five point someone' was reached in to cinemas with the name of 3 Idiots . Three Idiots become one of the highest grossing films of Bollywood.
