Courses offered: Applications are invited on prescribed forms for admission to the 1st year of following courses for the academic session 2008-2009.
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Occupational therapy (BOT) 4 ½ years
Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) 4 ½ years
Eligibility: For BPT: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry Biology and English (PCBE)
For BOT: 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (PCBE)
For BPO: 0+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry Biology/Mathematics & English
Eligibility Qualification: SSC Examination of CBSE or equivalent (10+2) with 50% or more marks for general category and 45% for SC/ST/PH and CWAPP category in the aggregate of four subjects viz. PCBE for BPT/BOT and PCBE/PCME for BPO, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately. The candidates appearing/appeared in the 10+2 examination may also apply. However, it is subjected to their clearance of qualifying examination with required percentage of marks before declaration of result of entrance test.
The candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination before the year 2005 and have discontinued their regular studies for more than 3 years are not eligible to appear in the entrance test.
Age as on 01.10.2008 :
Minimum of 17 years.
Maximum of 23 years for General Category and 28 years for SC,ST & PH Category
Application procedure: Cost of Prospectus and application form: Prospectus will be available for BPT/BOT and BPO courses at following costs.
General Category :
Institute Counter(By Hand): Rs. 500/-
By Post: Rs.550/-
Scheduled caste/ Scheduled Tribe:
Institute Counter(By Hand): Rs. 250/-
By Post: Rs. 300/-
The Prospectus cum Application form can be obtained by depositing a pay order/demand draft drawn in favour of “Director, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute for the Physically Handicapped” payable at New Delhi. Prospectus
will also be available by depositing cash on sale counter in Accounts Section of Institute between 10.00 A.M. to 4.00 P.M. on all working days.
Application form with Prospectus can also be downloaded from the Institute website “www.iphnewdelhi.in”. However such down loaded application forms however should be submitted alongwith a Bank draft of Rs. 550/- for General Category and Rs. 300/- for SC/ST candidates
