Each engineering branch has its curriculum and based on which each final year student has to do project work on a specific topic. Importance of final year project topic
Topic of final year engineering projects usually decides one's area of interest. Whole year he/she has to deal with that special topic to finish the project in time and with sufficient outcome. Heat and mass transfer subject covers calculation of heat and energy transfer in devices like boiler, heat exchanger and process equipment to help in thermal design and analysis of it. Mechanical Engineering has machine design as one of the specialization which deals with design or creation of new needs/machine/machine component. Sometimes design procedure covers modification of existing machine/machine elements to improve the design. The main aim of any machine design project is to find out the probable lacking in existing machine, evaluating its overall structure capability, improvement in it and dealing with innovative ideas to take maximum advantages of it via usage.

Manufacturing deals with making, fabricating and joining of metal, non-metals parts to help in constructing machine and its elements/parts. Manufacturing includes welding process, hot working, cold working, soldering, brazing, machining of components, casting, forging etc. The objective of this projects is to determine the suitability of manufacturing, adaptability, efficiency and optimization of joint and study of economical point of view.

Multi specialization project topics in mechanical engineering
